Craig
From not attending school to becoming Deputy Head boy, Craig is testimony of how someone can turn their life around, with the right support, expertise and care.
LVS Oxford, with its safe, supportive and welcoming environment, is perfectly placed to enable a young person like Craig to gain the confidence and the ability to benefit from a second chance at learning. The small classes, which are taught at an individual’s own pace by expert teachers who understand how to get the best from each student, build trust between the student, teacher and classmates – resulting in positive and life-changing outcomes for students like Craig.
“Craig is a great example of how someone who has struggled and, in his mum’s words, been on one “hell of a journey” before joining LVS Oxford, can thrive and triumph.”
Craig had been out of school for more than three years before joining LVS Oxford in Year 10. After completing Year 11, he opted to continue into Sixth Form at the school, where he became Deputy Head boy.
He then progressed to Reading College, where he studied Music Performance & Production, going on to pass Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 – obtaining a distinction in his Level 3.
After Reading College, Craig continued on his journey in music, by taking up a place at WaterBear Brighton, a specialist music college offering degree courses in everything from song writing and performance to business, founded by music education pioneers Adam Bushell and Bruce John Dickinson.
In Brighton, Craig has been living in shared house accommodation with other students and has been managing really well.
