Healthy Eating
Healthy eating plays an important part of daily life at LVS Oxford. Our enthusiastic catering staff have established a great rapport with our pupils and work hard to get them to expand the range of foods they eat. Our pupils also enjoy the experience of preparing and cooking food in our dedicated food technology classroom.
There is always a strong emphasis on fresh produce and a balanced diet. We aim to help pupils recognise that healthy eating is critical for their all-round well-being.
We recognise that some young people require modified diets or additional dietary supplements, so work closely with parents and pupils to ensure we meet their needs.
As well as cooking food in our dedicated food technology classroom our pupils also learn about growing it in our onsite horticulture area.
During the latest Healthy Eating Week the food on offer in our dining hall couldn’t have got any fresher.
