A Typical Day

At LVS Oxford, we appreciate that new pupils may need a gradual transition into the school. Our therapy and pastoral teams work closely with all our pupils, parents/carers and professionals to ensure that the needs of each individual pupil is met during their transition phase.

The school day at LVS Oxford starts at 9am with morning tutor time, followed by lesson 1, morning break, then lessons 2 and 3. Lunch is staggered so the dining hall remains a calm environment for all our pupils.

We encourage all our pupils to take advantage of our facilities; there is a sports/football field, outdoor gym and trampoline. At 1:15pm, pupils spend time back in their tutor groups and we encourage them to use this time to participate in tutor activities. Lessons 4 and 5 follow tutor time and the school day finishes at 3.30pm.

On Friday afternoons, we offer an enrichment session and pupils can choose from activities such as robotics, chess, film club, art, cooking and sports.

On Fridays, the school day finishes at 2.30pm.
